Watertight and leak free

To help prevent waste all water fittings must be of an appropriate quality and standard for installation.

Joints are likely to lose their integrity over time and therefore should only be considered where unavoidable.

One of the criteria which must be met, to be considered as being of an acceptable standard, is being capable of withstanding 1½ times the maximum operational pressure a water fitting will be subjected to once installed.

The test methods detailed in Schedule 2 paragraph 12 and BS EN 806 -2, can both be used to demonstrate compliance with this requirement
