New online guidance information

Water Regs UK is pleased to announce the launch online guidance information to replace its technical enquiry service. This informative guidance has been created to help people find answers to some of the most commonly asked questions about the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations and Byelaws.

This information has been developed in collaboration with water companies and is intended for general guidance purposes only.

We would welcome any suggestions for improvements to our content. These can be submitted using the new rate a page and provide feedback functions.

There are lots of other useful features in the guidance including:

  • The ability to download a printer friendly pdf of all the guidance, just a section (chapter) or individual pages. Please note the guidance published is subject to change so it is always important to check to make sure you have the latest information.

  • Easier navigation through page map, page links and the ability to search all the guidance to help find what you want.

  • There are also some 3D diagrams, which you can rotate or zoom in on to get a better understanding of what is required.

As the technical enquiry service has been replaced with online guidance, Water Regs UK will no longer respond to these enquiries.

If you cannot find the information you require on our website, please contact the local water company. Contact details can be found here.

Water companies are the enforcers of the water fittings regulations and Scottish byelaws in their area of supply. As the experts they are ideally placed to provide information to help to their customers and those working for them.
